Some of my all time favorite quotes

Ever since I was a little girl, I have loved quotes. I love when I'm reading a book and I find a line or a few phrases that peak my interest and really hit home. I'm going to share with you some of my all-time favorite quotes from books I have read.

"Remember there are no losses, because if God did not grant you a desire it is simply because it was not written." - Mirtha Michelle Castro Marmol, Letters, To The Men I Have Loved

“The power of words. They weaseled under door crevices and through keyholes. They hooked into invididuals and wormed through generations.” ― Chloe Benjamin, The Immortalists

"Cada hombre deberia envidarte, solo por la forma en que te miro" ("Every man should env you solely for the way i look at you")- Mirtha Michelle Castro Marmol, Elusive Loves; Amore Esquivos

"The problem with people who hand out fucks like ice cream at a goddamn summer camp is that they don't have anything more fuck-worthy to dedicate their fucks to." Mark Manson, The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck: A Counterintuitive Approach to Living a Good Life

“I don’t want just words. If that’s all you have for me, you’d better go” - F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Beautiful and Damned

"...thinking that if people were the rain, I was the drizzle and she was a hurricane."- John Green, Looking for Alaska

These are my favorite quotes from Paulo Coelho's books:

"But the boy continued, 'I had a dream, and I met with a king. I sold crystal and crossed the desert. And, because the tribes declared war, I went to the well, seeking the alchemist. So, I love you because the entire universe conspired to help me find you." - Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist

"The mere possibility of getting what we want fills the soul of the ordinary person with guilt." - Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist

"Seek out those who think differently from you and whom you will never be able to convince that you are right." - Paulo Coelho, The Manuscript Found in Accra

"I am a woman who was born at the wrong time and nothing can be done to fix this." - Paulo Coelho, The Spy

“In magic - and in life - there is only the present moment, the now. You can't measure time the way you measure the distance between two points. 'Time' doesn't pass. We human beings have enormous difficulty in focusing on the present; we're always thinking about what we did, about how we could have done it better, about the consequences of our actions, and about why we didn't act as we should have. Or else we think about the future, about what we're going to do tomorrow, what precautions we should take, what dangers await us around the next corner, how to avoid what we don't want and how to get what we have always dreamed of.” - Paulo Coelho, Aleph

What are some of your favorite quotes from book's you've read?
