Are these products worth the hype?
Recently I’ve been trying out different makeup products that I constantly see on my Instagram feed or on YouTube videos. These are my thoughts on these products.
Farsali Unicorn Essence Antioxidant Serum + Primer
I saw this on almost every makeup artists Instagram page or YouTube videos for over a year. Smells like candy and is lightweight after it dries. What I really like about this serum is that for glitter eyeshadows it makes the color pop! I really love that. You do not need to continue touching up throughout the day. It is also good for your highlighter.
Farsali 24k Rose Gold Elixir Radiating Moisturizer
I tried this serum for over a week, applying it day and night before my moisturizer. It smells citrusy, which is not bad but has a very strong smell. The little specks of 24k gold do dissolve into your skin. I noticed I started to break out a little when I was using it. I do not recommend purchasing this product.
Too Faced Hangover 3-in-1 Replenishing Primer & Setting Spray
This spray contains coconut water and probiotic- based ingredients as well as skin revivers. It smells like coconut oil. I like this product for a setting spray because it helps set the powder to avoid your skin from looking cakey. What I did notice is this spray does not keep my makeup intact all day. I do like this for a summer spray also. It feels super refreshing and lightweight after it dries.
Laura Mercier Foundation Primer Blemish-less
Honestly, I do not see much of a difference with this primer. I have been using it for a couple of months but because I do not wear makeup every day, I think the product is okay. I love Laura Mercier products which is why I wanted to try it. This primer has no scent, which I like and is lightweight. I recommend trying this product out before setting your heart on it.
Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer
This product has so much hype behind it. Every YouTuber raves about it. I love that this concealer is full coverage. It hides any dark circles and acne scars you have. When using this product, do now use too much, it is pretty thick.
Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion – Eden
I’ve been using this eyeshadow primer for over a year now. I do love that it makes the colors pop and stay ALL DAY LONG. But, I do not like that it makes my eyelids look dry at times. Other than that, it's perfect. No scent and long lasting.
Fenty Beauty By Rihanna Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation
I love this foundation! I like that it feels lightweight on your skin and the more layers you apply, the fuller the coverage. With one layer of this foundation, you will see a medium coverage. I like that I do not break out with this foundation and once you apply setting powder it looks even better. I definitely recommend this foundation.
Amrezy x ABH Highlighter
This highlighter is the bomb! I have used other Anastasia Beverly Hills highlighter and this one take the cake. The packaging is perfect. It is very noticeable after just one application. I definitely, recommend this highlighter to anyone who uses highlighters often.
Tarte Shape Tape Matte Foundation
Besides Tarte did not come out with a variation of colors for this foundation, it is not worth it. I do not recommend purchasing this foundation because of the following reasons; it seeps into your laugh lines, the product is not lightweight, you will see that your skin looks cakey and the undertones did not match my skin. The first time I tried this foundation I liked that it was full coverage but the after trying it a few times, I noticed that the foundation was dark for my skin tone and it would get everywhere. If my face slightly touched my shirt, it would stain it. I love Tarte products but this foundation was disappointing.
